Confirm the page is public and crawlable
Open the page in a private browser window and make sure it does not require a login. Check that the server returns a successful response and that neither the page nor its headers include a noindex instruction. Review robots.txt for a broad rule that blocks the page or important assets.
Give the page a clear identity
Use a unique page title, one descriptive main heading, and a canonical URL that points to the preferred version. Link to the page from a relevant navigation or content page. An isolated page with no internal links is harder for both visitors and crawlers to find.
- Include the preferred URL in the XML sitemap.
- Avoid several thin pages that answer the same question.
- Keep important explanation in text rather than only inside images.
- Use descriptive link text from related pages.
Request indexing, then be patient
A verified site owner can inspect a URL in Google Search Console and request indexing. That is a request, not a promise. Continue improving the usefulness of the page and the site's internal links rather than repeatedly submitting the same unchanged URL.
